View Full Version : Signs of squirrel being pregnant?
How can you tell if a squirrel is pregnant? No...really. I have no idea. :) Grey, 8 mths old.
May just be gaining weight since she's been held up in the house for meds. :sanp3
ummm....she's now at 750 grams!!!!!!!!!! On the 4th of this month she was 641!!!!!!! I really don't think she eats that much! She has been pretty sedentary though.....
Okay, she went from being 641 grams (very sick-you can tell) in the first picture TO........
750 grams...second picture! First picture is from about July 4th....2nd pic is today, July 29th.

Is she beginning to develop noticable nipples?
Is she beginning to develop noticable nipples?
Yes, but not major or anything....hang on and I'll post a pic if I can get her down from the curtain rod... :)
well that didn't work very well....it didn't show it very clearly at all. :(

She was probably a bit light because she was sick; now that she is feeling better she is likely eating more. She doesn't look like the mamas I have around, but who knows?

Was your squirrel pregnant? My squirrel mated after I released her but never gained weight or had any large nappies or signs or anything, but the past two days she's been staying close to or inside her house...

This is a very old thread - upper right hand corner will show you the date of the last post - this was 2011! But on to your girl. The boobs really get large once they actually begin nursing. And they usually stay VERY close to home for a bit after the babies are born. However you usually can see that their midsection is getting noticeably bigger when they are pregnant...

I figured I would see signs but never did, so I was glad. I want her to learn more before she becomes a mother! But yesterday and the day before she spent a lot of time on her perch and today she seems to be spending a lot of time inside her house, so I wondered if it was possible there were just no signs. It has been about 45 days since she was chased and plugged.
