I was wondering if anyone had this happen with any of their adult squirrels? It used to happen with my neuro squirrel because she circled a lot and wore the hair down, but that is not the case with Isabella. I kept thinking it was part of her spring "molt" and kept saying to myself it will grow in soon, but now its July and it looks like hell.
Is there something that this is telling me, like a vitamin deficiency??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks..........Carrie & Isabella
PS........otherwise she is perfect!

I have a 7 month old indian palm squirrel called terri who's also having the same problem..but my one's tail is not losing hair as much as yours...she had a fluffy tail and now its comparatively thin.. and i too was discussing this on here..here's the link if you'd find it helpful..

That's what happened to Christine. Do you feed her HHBs? If so, get/make some juvenille HHBs. I think the increased protein made the difference. Full & fluffy once again. :thumbsup

They kinda look like mites to me...Please visit the vet..Ivermectin helps..her tail looks really thin..Such hair loss might be mites...just hope n pray it's not.
