HI guys!
if they are outside...nada thing you can do...nothing!
If they are strong and healthy, they can deal with it...sad but true.
I have read where you and El remove them...heck, that's more dangerous than leaving them..
If one breaks off below skin, they are toxic as all get out...
ABs will help with it, but not worth the risk of sepsis...JMO:)
it's a common occurance/parasite in wild animals....for centuries.
Infestation is associated with rainfall...
From research I have found each species has their own order of bot, in some third world countries, humans have them, ugh.
side note, if there are several warbles in same area, skin can rip with no stretch ability, circulation can be cut off due to pressure...thenn I would intervene..but only then. I have studied this and discussed with several BOMB vets...I will not remove unless stress or dibilitation is present.
Good luck
I haven't seen the first one yet this year.,..
however mating season abcesses and battle wounds and dang mosquitoes are verified in Tampa...holy smokes batman, the skitters are bad.
My son is helping me get a Mosquito Magnet...:alright.gif :fireworks :fireworks :fireworks

yea, our rule is leave alone, one poor baby last year had 7 or 8.....we had to intervene that one....she made and still comes home to say hi - even after what we put her through.
