I have am adult squirrel over 9 month with a 2-3 month old. At first the baby chased the older squirrel but now it is the opposite and she is going pretty hard on her and i fear she will bite her. Any hints ? right now they are separated unless I can supervise them....

With such an AGE DIFF - I personally would not let the two squirrels be together (play or other wise) as the older squirrel could bully the younger squirrel and possibly do some damage to its body with those 4 front teeth they naturally come equipped with for tearing and ripping their food with.

alex39, please don't let them be together at any time. We had an incident last year here on TSB where someone allowed his older female to "visit" a new baby squirrel taken in for rehab -- the female promptly killed the baby. :(

This is grey squirrels ???
Release your young squirrel when she will be 12 weeks old . I can help you to release her with nice people who do that at Montreal.
And think about to release the older one too...we always can release squirrels after a preparation to become wild again. Squirrels are never domesticate for ever . Wild instinct is always here.

I agree, do not allow them to be together. Put the cages next to one another so they can see each other but the older one is going to be territorial and can and possibly will kill the baby.
