Are dog treats ok to wear down teeth?

I read somewhere that feeding your squirrel hide knots is a good method to wear down their teeth. Is this true and safe?

No - I would not recommend any kind of raw hides as they could become lodged in their throats or cause a blockage in the stomach area......
I would however recommend using either a good piece of wood/branch from the safe tree list or purchasing some deer antlers.
