Urgen-Marine Science Center needs songbird rehabbers

I received a call today from Rochelle of the Marine Science Center located in Ponce Inlet. They have lost 2 local rehabbers who had to close down and are in urgent need of rehabbers in West Volusia County.

They do not have enough room for the songbirds once they become fledlings. If you are interested in helping or can refer someone else, please post here or contact Rochelle or Chris at the center. 386-304-5530.

We are close - but not quite set up to handle birds in numbers. We currently have one - nestling/fledgling in our care. I wiil try to call and see what we can do to help.....sounds like I may be building cages again!....I will also put it out there to our Rehab center & volunteers and see where it goes from there.
