Hello, about a week ago my boyfriend was outside in our yard and noticed a crow attacking a small squirrel. He ran over to scare the crow away and brought the squirrel in because his front arm seemed hurt and he had some blood on his face. It's been a few days and now he seems perfectly fine; he can use both his front paws and has lots of energy. I'm pretty sure he is about six weeks old. Since we live in an urban neighborhood where everyone has at least one dog, I know this is not an ideal place to release him. I also know that I do not have the money or time for a proper cage and soft release when he is older, as I'm also full-time in college.
I'm going to school in the Boston area and was wondering if any of you were nearby and would be willing to take little Peanut in, or if you knew anyone who could. My boyfriend and I have both grown attached to him within the past few days and only want the best for him.

I found this site and did a ton of research when we brought him in. We've been feeding him the Fox Valley formula and put a rodent block in his cage (which he loves to chew on). He's been getting more active and yesterday started to hold his tail up and sit up on his own. I feel bad because he wants to run around and climb but I've had to keep him in my room to keep him from coming into contact with my dog and cat.
Thanks so much for you help!

Little Peanut is here, he looks very good (great job, guys!) He is already chowing down and settling in. He is the same size as my guys (will get a weight later). He was very lucky to be found by you guys! I will get pics up later.

Aww, thanks so much! I'm so glad to hear he's doing good!
He is a big snuggler. Jesse and I are extremely happy to have found you and to know that he's got everything he needs. We can't wait to see the pictures of him once he's settled in. :)
Also, it means a lot to both of us to hear that we did a good job with him!

I'm cracking up imagining him beating up his owl toy! I haven't seen him pay much attention to it besides knocking it over a couple of times.
I have a bunch of pictures of him from the past week I should post soon. He had some little scabs on his face from the crow but that all cleared up a day ago.
Those pictures you posted made me a little emotional. He's such a cute little man :)

Aw, ya did so good with him! When I read Pappy's post about the owl the first thing I thought was "you know they were loved when they arrive with a stuffed toy."

Well, Peanut is now officially part of Bean's family! They are all now living happily together, checking out the new big cage. They are all climbing and playing (well, except for Frank....he went to bed...lol) I will get pics tomorrow, running way behind tonight but wanted to update...little Peanut is a singleton no longer!!!
