I am coordinating help back in Joplin, where I moved from and my hubbys hometown. I need all rehabber names and numbers and locations (southwest Missouri). I have yet to see anything to help the wildife. If I can get this informatiom, I can get it to others out there. I messaged Natures Gift, but Some help is needed.

I informed some guy that the Pizza Hut he worked at had 11 people seek shelter in the walkin cooler but perished. I also informed some poor girl last night that search and rescue efforts were called off, (she just messaged me back that his body was recovered).

ALso ANYONE can help by doing the following;

I wish I didn't live so far away. Would love to Volunteer either as an RN or helping Critters!

Guess I will help by sending some money to the Red Cross.

It is just so heartbreaking!

Thats really far north, Joplin is in the lower left four corner of OK, KS, and AR. I just talked with MO wildlife, they said unless it endangered they do not care. So we definately need to get coordinations efforts. Only 2 licensed rehabber in sw MO. Anyhow, will be directing a lot of people this way if I get squirrel stuff and have to help them online or over phone. Need those contacts

I can take some smaller critters..I'm about 180 miles away from Joplin in Wichita and we will help out in any way. I am not licensed but i can take squirrels, kittens, pups, whatever so long as it is not a parrot.

I JUST saw this, I live right outside of Joplin and haven't been online a whole lot lately aside from looking up info for those who don't have internet/phone access.
Don't know if you guys ever got anything set up, but wanted to let you know that one of our local vets is a licensed wildlife rehabber, and has been taking in animals affected by the tornado :)
