hurt squirrel in Tampa

hey, I know there are quit a few of you in Tampa. I am in south tampa. I got a call tonight from my cousin and he ended up bringing me a baby squirrel. When he fianally got the squirrel to me he tells me that a dog had got it and its legs are broken. I dont know exactly what happened, but this poor guy has to use of his back legs. I have not seen him move his tail either. his front he moves just fine. I gave him pedialyte, he drank that right up and he also eats formula. He ate six mls the first feeding. I have raised baby squirrels before, but I have no idea what to do with this poor baby. I fear he may be paralyzed. Can somebody please help me? I can message my phone #!

Hello there..... I am not exp in this area, but I saw your thread when I popped in and wanted to take some time to answer you and try to get you some help.

First thing I would do is get the little fella warm, place a heating pad under him with a cover over it, or fill a few water bottles with hot water then slide them each in a sock and place next to the squirrel..... once the squirrel is warm you can try to offer him some pedialyte to rehydrate him.

Homemade Pedialyte
1 tsp salt (teaspoon)
3 Tbsp sugar (tablespoon)
1 quart warm water

You said you gave him some formula..... What kind? please no kitten formula, regular milk or Esbilac.

Thanks Jackie! Just to let everybody know, Jackie sent me her number and I called her this morning. I went to her house and she got us into a vet. Sadly he had pretty extensive injuries and so he is no longer with us. I dont feel like details now it was a pretty emotional day for Jackie and I both. Thanks to everyone for your concerns, advice and help.
