I ask because I had gotten a rickety 2-pound spring loaded postage scale that hardly fits my 8 week old about 2 weeks ago. I weighed him then, at exactly 4 ounces, which I think equated to 136 grams. Today I finally bribed him back on the scale and it said he was 7.5 oz!?!?!?! that comes to about 212 grams... Was my reading off, or do the little buggers really grow that fast? What is the general age/weight correlation?

Edit: both weigh-ins were pre-feeding

I think you need a more accurate scale
1-3g daily seems to be average

Was the first weight when he first came to you?

It was about 5-6 days after i found him that i got my first reading... im going to have to get another reading. I might be investing in an actual kitchen scale, not this cheapo letter scale...
