Let me clarify......Chia seeds are great food, but just not sure if squirrels can have them. I often eat Chia seeds as hot cerial with a bit of rolled oats. They are very high in calcium and fiber. My squirrels want to try everything I eat, but I am not sure if they can have them.
I am serious. Did you think I was talking about Chia pets???????
Chia seeds are purchased at a whole foods market.

They sound very healthy but I don't know for squirrels. Funny they are the same seeds that are included in the "Chia Pets". Who knew? Worth some research, I'd say.:D

I've been reading about them. They sound like a miracle food for humans at any rate. After some more research, I may include in everyone's diet around here. Humans and animals alike. Do they taste good? :thinking
