Their nest was torn down by tree cutters...I have the full nest....If they put this nest close to where it was will mama bird find them and care for them???
I only have 1 hour left at work so please tell me the best thig to do??

If the mama was scared away by the tree cutters she might not come back. I've had some positive results putting the nest back in situations like that and some negative. If you can put the nest near the spot and wait, great. If you can't wait, I wouldn't do it. Hopefully you have a bird rehabber near you... I think baby birds are difficult--especially if you find kitties difficult. :poke :D
Where's psychobird?!

I sent an email and PM to psychobird and the PM seems to have gone through. Not sure if they get instant alerts though.

The girl who brought them to me is going to call the Nature Center...if they won't take them she is going to try and do this her self....I would like to give her a contact she can call to guide her through this
i've put nests back by putting them inside a hanging plant basket with some stabilization around it like fleece...and then hanging it back onto the tree....
(with drainage holes at the bottom)
although it's always the same tree
:grouphug
i hope they can put it back...

Virgo....I was a waterfowl rehabber when I lived in Iowa. I have some knowledge of birds.
Unless she can hang the nest in the same tree chances are someone will have to raise these guys. If the woman wants to do it herself...Im available for any help she needs. Make sure she NEVER tries to give a baby bird water. They dont drink water at all. All moisture from food. Keep warm, just like the squirrels.....and its extremely important that it is very very quiet where they are kept. Birds die of shock from noise easily.

So sorry I just got home from drs appt!
Lots of times parents will still care for babies if the nest is put back near the location as long as u have all the babies, they can't take care of 2 nest's
But I would always watch from a distance to make sure
Rehabbers the next best choice!
Glad the babes are safe!

Virgo, I'm sorry I was out of pocket today. In the future I have a rehabber here on the mountain who specializes in birds. If she can't take them, she will tell you exactly what to do. She is great!!!:)
