I was feeding Terri rodent blocks from a pet store here but sadly they closed down. I've been looking everywhere for a place they sell them but couldnt find..

(For the readers who havent read abt Terri before..she's a 3 month old squirrel I raised since she was about 3-4 weeks old..we live in Sri Lanka..where I had to go through hell to feed her properly and take care of her )

sometimes there may never be any other place to buy them in Sri Lanka cuz practically no one raises squirrels or rats here..

the stock i had is over and i've been going nuts wondering what to do..Sadly I cannot find the ingrediants here to make squirrel blocks or boo balls in Sri Lanka either..

Terri has been eating veggies, fruits (only the safe veggies and fruits according to the board) and drinking milk (goat milk recipe still)since blocks are gone..

and also please tell me whether the following food are all right for her;
raisins, cocunut milk, boiled red rice, green beans, big tomatoes, boiled spinach

thanks guys:grouphug

I would avoid the raisins .... any dried fruit has a concentrated amount of sugar. I would also avoid spinach which is high in oxylates which block the absorbtion of calcium.

I would look at the chart on the nutritional forum: http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15397
You can find veggies that are cal to phos ratios. Feed those. Can you order Fox Valley squirrel formula?

My squirrels love full fat organic vanilla yogurt. What is in the cerelac baby cereal? You don't just want fillers, you want the right balance of vitamins.

How about roasted, unsalted soy nuts for protein or cooked egg whites? Both are high in protein. I prefer the egg over the soy but sometimes you've got to go with whatever is available until a better solution can be found.

I'm thinking a whole grain pancake is in order.
infant baby vitamin vitamins
two eggs and whole grain flour
what types of grain do you have available?
Soy?
Quinoa?
oat?
what types of legumes?

kurukkan flour is a type of millet flour.

From what I can see its a good bet that mixing this with some whole egg for a dough, rice, soy nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables you are probably on the right track. Millet as I recall is a pretty high quality feed grain nutritionally.
I will have to check on the native diet of Palm squirrels,
Grubs are also enjoyed by our squirrels here.

Since you said your oven is on the fritz maybe look into buying powdered egg. No need to bake/cook that.

And add just enough water to make a dough?
Do you have powered dry Goats milk as well?

The only infant Vitamin drops I can think of off hand would be PolyVisol...do not use the ones with Iron.

There are rat and mouse vitamin but you would have to order them online and the shipping me be prohibitive.

I think what you need to do is figure out what the native plants. nuts and seeds are and try to duplicate that for your squirrel as much as possible.
