How long are teeth sore after teeth are cut? Do they not eat a while?
Also, I've heard Oak branches/leaves are safe and now read many places they are toxic in trying to identify other KY trees. They ate some of the branches and leaves so may get diarhea? thanks!

I wouldn't worry about oak. It is a problem for livestock but in many parts of the country it is a big part of the squirrel diet.
If his teeth are sore you may need to give him soft food for a bit. Try soaking some of the squirrel block in either formula or maybe some fruit juice, or thin down some yogurt with some water and nuking it to warm it up. If he is still sore tomorrow and not eating, please let us know. They CAN have INFANT IBUPROPHEN but we will need his weight to dose it Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Would you let him chew on more of the oak? One of them ate all the leaves on a limb. I tried to reach the one that's been helping me on phone but either my phone is messing up or theirs. I was afraid the KY oak is a different type and may be bad? thanks!

This time after having Chumpy's teeth trimmed, she didn't eat well for almost a week. Sometimes, I think, there may be some sensitivity afterward, depending on the length of the cutting, if the teeth are sharp, that could be a problem, too. I always soak her zupreem primate biscuits in water, drizzle with olive oil, and nuke it for 5 seconds. You can also try avacado, (no skin or pit) ... they love it.
