I have a dilema. I wonder if any of you know what I can do for little Pearlie.

She is a squirrel that I visit at the park regularly for about 4 years now. Well, I saw her today and she has mange and is pregnant. She has crust on her back and the hair easily comes out. I know this because she is so used to me that I can scratch her back while she eats next to me. I even was able to squeeze her nipple to see if she had milk yet. I wanted to know if she had the babies already. No milk so I don't think so. She is VERY round. I am pretty possitive that she is knocked up.

The question is Can I give her any meds that will not harm the babies before or after she gives birth?

If it were needed I could catch her very easily. She is still quite healthy besides the mange so I don't think that it is neccessary as of yet. If she starts to seem weak then I will but I think she is ok for now.

Can Revolution be used in pregnant or lactating animals?
Revolution has been tested safe in pregnant and lactating animals. In lactating animals it is recommended to remove the kittens/puppies for the two hours while the product is drying so that they are not coming in contact with the application site.

this is from pfizer site:thumbsup
ivermectin says no...

They sure are. I love this little girl so much! Every year she has another set of babies. They are always beautiful. I think Pearlie is a baby of Weebles. Weebles is in my signiture. She was from the same park and they both have the same white spot below their left ear.

Got her dosed today. I was a little busy with Easter and all. Dosing her was easy. With her being so tame it took me all of three minutes from the time I arrived to get her dosed. She apperently had her babies since I saw her last. I felt her belly and it is much smaller.
