I always have my eyes open when I'm driving for natural parks where you can snip a branch or two. In fact I'm going out today to get some. I was driving on the freeway the other day on the way home from work and spotted some popular trees (favorites to chew on) that were off the freeway quite a ways, but there was an access road. So I'm going to find the entrance to the access road and take my branch snippers. You really have to keep your eyes open for that stuff. I live in a neighborhood too where you can't just strip all the trees bare of the branches. Also if you know anyone who has apple trees who doesn't spray them, that's a good source too.
