Get it warm asap... heating pad on low fill an empty soda bottle with hot water in a sock or fill a sock with rice and nuke about 30 sec.

Does the bunny have fur?
Keep it warm and try to keep things quiet around the bunny. The last thing you want to do is stress it out anymore than it has already been.

Ok wild bunnies nurse their babies once a day so if your cat just brought you the bunny its tummy should still be relatively full. If you hold it up you should still be able to see the milk line.
The more important issues right now are its injuries.
Do they seem severe? Are there any open wounds? Is it bleeding? If so how bad?

See if you can open this attachment. Pic is too big and I had to put it in a word doc. but I don't know if you will be able to open the document.

Ok do you have any antiseptic like Iodine or peroxide? Clean it if you can. I would use butterfly bandages on it or wrap it in gauze once it was clean.
I looks pretty bad.
Is the damage mostly on the surface or are there deep punctures?

luv2fly

mostly surface

Cleaning with peroxide now. He is about 4" long and weighs about 4 gm along with a small hand towel. The two wounds in the pictures are the only bad ones and they are just skin wounds. Would triple antibiotic ointment and a guaze wrap help?

do you have Baytril???

clean the wounds out. Then I normally use spray on *hurt/sting free* bandaide. no gauze

The little tyke will need antibiotics ASAP, cat attacks can be deadly for baby bunnies :(. Also, his chances are best with a wildlife rehabber, especially since he is so young. Give Ryglehart a call if you have her number, even if she is too far she might have some numbers of rehabbers closer to you.

Hello your bunny is in bad way. There is a Pamela Harris in your town her number is 501-626-0198 also Kelley Prichard is in Alexander and the number is 501-303-8185. I dont personally know either of these people but they are listed on AGFC list of licensed rehabilitators. Also call your local vets if you cant reach either of these people as they may use someone locally that isnt listed with fish and game. Good luck and hurry this bunny needs attention ASAP! Stacey

I have since found out that Kelley Prichard is no longer licensed so may not be rehabbing but please keep the other number just in case your cat brings home more. So sorry this little one didnt make it. Stacey

Glad you were willing and able to try to help - bunnies are tough in the best of circumstances, but you gave him a warm, caring environment to rest on his way to his new adventure!

Poor sweet little darling. He looked like such a sweet little creature. :sad
At least he had someone who cared for him and tried to comfort him for his last hours on earth. :grouphug

R.I.P. sweet lilttle bunny. Be whole and healthy now, run free and play your little heart out. You'll make many friends at the Bridge and we shall see you there some day. :Love_Icon :Love_Icon :Love_Icon
