I came across this AD on CL that was posted tonight around 9 pm from a fellow squirrel lover / rehabber that has a baby possum that she is needing a rescue to take or to talk her through its care...... momma was hit and killed by a car.

If she can't find a rehabber on here to help her - she can take the possum to the Tampa Bay Vet Emergency and they will place it with a rehabber. They are located on Fletcher and Bearss Avenue.

Well she says she has 10 squirrels so she's probably using that same formula.
Many rehabbers use Esbilac for possies, just not the extra fat.
I rehab possies :Love_Icon :tilt :Love_Icon I love em!!!!
I just can't get to Lakeland today.
I'm going to email and offer to take the baby if noone in the area can, and they can meet me in Orlando.

I have not talked to her myself, but I think it might be a lady I have talked to in the past via CL and if it is... her name is Cathy and she uses Fox Valley and has been raising/releasing squirrels since the 80's.
.... but not 100% sure :dono

OK - I found her # and gave Cathy a call....... it was her and she has already found a place for the possum to go to - the little fella left today for its new home with a lady that already works with a rehabber...... so all should be well.
Cathy said she thought about calling ME when she got the little fella in two days ago (but she had lost my number) - so she has my number again and is going to write it down this time and will let me know if any other animal comes in that she cannot properly take care for..... and of course I will pass the INFO along to TSB when out of my hands. :thumbsup :thumbsup
:thankyou
