Last time I met Fire-eyez to pick up a baby I was so glad we met in a new spot.
I'm sure the people in her neighborhood think we were doing something illicit by the front entrance,
from so many encounters. :poke

hey everyone I just picked up the little squirrel its a female looks like 6 or 7 weeks, really healthy looking, chunky, not dehydrated, I do feel a lump on her belly and noticed she has a scab there. She actually has two scabs on her belly. the guy who had her tried putting her back in the trees...he found her on the concrete and when he picked her up she started squealing and he saw other squirrels around and kept watch for 3 hours and when he noticed the other squirrels were not coming he took her home...she has been on puppy formula...i do not hear any clicking noises. She is very active...her urine is clear and her poop is normal. I have someone who is willing to take her ( oneocean) we are trying to figure out how to get the little one to her....I just got home and things are a little crazy I just found out my mom is in the ER room, so I need to figure out if we can start making moves......sorry for not replying faster but i just found out about my mom just now so yea....if anyone closer can hold on to this little one it would really help just because i will be in the ER with my mom tonight...if not i will just keep driving home to check on the little one

It will be important she gets those bumps checked out,
make sure it's not an abscess or anything else that needs attention,
like bot flies.

I can take her since I have only a single 9 week old right now- I'm trying to figure out how to get her- I work till 9:30pm tonight. I work in Lakeland and Live in Hillsborough county. Who has her right now and where are you located??

Just a quick update...
She is settled in until we figure out the next steps.
It's a very hectic day with the storms all around, working today and no car to boot! :dono

She is plump and lively, weighs 118g and is accepting the FV (diluted for now).
I introduced her to an HHB block she said "nom nom nom" as she devoured it,
so it's safe to say her appetite is good :thumbsup

I found 3 spots on her belly that have a tiny black head.
Only one feels raised probably the size of a small zit.
None looks infected or in any way very serious, but better safe than sorry.
As a precaution I put her on Baytril.
They may be punctures, but it's really hard to tell.
I don't think I could even get them on a photo they are so small.
She is by herself and away from the other squirrels just in case.

You have been so great at being the middleman (middlewoman, middleperson hmmm?) between the original finders and the final home. Can I offer a suggestion though? Since you are posting quite often, would it be possible to put the date that you are originally posting in the title? The reason I say this is that it is a bit confusing sometimes, trying to remember if this is an old thread or a new thread. Some days I don't have time to read TSB or if I do, I only have time to scan quickly. I would hate for someone to miss reading your appeal just because they thought it was an older appeal. I thought about this when I was posting an update on Lucky's thread which is titled "Needing someone to take baby squirrel".

Anyhow, I do want to thank you for all you are doing. It takes a kind heart to do what you are doing.

Yes Archie is ready for babies...
he cannot drive today out of town ...but will after today if needed.
I will vouche for Archie...he released his first sqs recently and all went well and continues to...I am ecstatic to have wonderful loving help so close...well We have mpetys and rescue and Kelly and grinn and best life and squirrelis and Rhapsody and fireeyez and djardenspace and so many more since I first joined...

djarenspace9 has her right now. I'm trying to set a time/place to transport tomorrow to JIT. I spoke w/ JIT this morning and She's is going to have one of her volunteers take her since she has some scabs that we don't know what they are yet.
