LA County Baldwin Park Shelter Impounded Squirrel?

Help, help! I just got a message that there is a squirrel at the LA County Baldwin Park shelter in lost and found. impound #A4252903 under lost and found. I'm sorry I have no other information nor am I even sure this is legitimate (it has come down through several people networking).

Below is the link to the shelter. The woman who first found out about this is there now, trying to find out why a squirrel is impounded in lost and found and what can be done to get him or her out. If any members are near here and/or are familiar with the laws could you contact them? (I guess this should have been under non-life threatening but I was in a panic when I heard this, sorry) Admin, please move if you think the post should go elsewhere.

The squirrel is gone. Worker said it was most likely euthanized but they didn't have time to check the computer. So I guess that's that.:(
