I am available, but I will need help getting the little one to me in Lakeland (or I can meet someone half way) as my oldest son is using my car to get to work, therefore, I have to borrow my other sons car after he gets home from college around 2 pm and his car doesn't do well with long distant travel.

:rotfl I am sitting here laughing till the tears ran down my cheeks - a squirrel?? ummm, no uhhh, a mouse?? maybe oh- my - goodness - that was so funny but when I read your post about your big trip - it was a hoot. Thanks so much to all of you wonderful people on TSB - can't go to bed without checking in - hmm sure hope I can get to sleep now - I keep giggling over this one. I have been the silent member waiting on kittens and wondering about Sam and waiting for a chipmunk to make a move - but this did my heart good -thanks for the laugh. Beaulah.:jump

a friend of mine {who does rescue work with me} got a call about a nest of baby squirrels and she went over there to pick them up. when she got there....she had to tell owners that they were not squirrels...they were rats. most of the litter was dead. they found the rest of the babies and removed the nest. she called me..in tears....laughing. but i can see how a person who has no experience cant tell the difference.

My question is, if they brought the first 2 to a vet, id the vet know they weren't squirrels? :jump

:osnap lol its because she didn't directly bring them to the vet a friend of theirs who WORKS in the vet clinic were she works.....but that still doesn't explain how you work in a clinic and can't tell a squirrel from a mouse lol

FeeBee is just the opposite. This woman's son found what they thought to be a baby rat (or mouse) but thought it should be saved (total pinky) and she had experience with still born puppies she saved - Imagine her delight when it started getting a squirrel shape to it! That's when she tracked me down - and now I have awesome FeeBee here!
