Mine won't touch the Wild Bites or the Growth Formula. Any ideas or bribes to get her to eat it or just try it?

My sweet Sammy is a big pia about blocks but seems to prefer them if they are cut into small pieces. I have microwaved a little peanut butter and then tossed the small pieces in it to entice the little guy. I start his day with blocks as the only thing on the menu. It's easy if they are hungry and have no other choice...lol Baby is very cute! :Welcome

Creamy Peanut Butter or Full Fat Vanilla Yogurt - poured over them

Thank you. She's as sweet as she is cute. This lil princess will not touch anything that's going to stick to her or that's messy. Won't eat peanut butter. I think she had her fill when she was a baby. Yogurt? I'll try it. I have my doubts though. IF it worked, she isn't going to pick it up. lol She might carefully just lick it. Anything I can soak it in but not make it mushy?

I have 2 squirrels, one loves yogurt, the other one won't touch it. The one who loves yogurt will not eat his squirrel blocks plain. I crush up 2 squirrel blocks using a rolling pin and then mix with 1 teaspoon of the full fat yogurt. Then I form into 2 balls. They are moist, but I wouldn't say sticky. Of course they are when you're forming the balls, but once they're formed, they aren't that sticky to handle. My squirrel chomps them right down like that. I'd also feed ONLY that until she eats them. She'll eventually eat them. They are pretty filling though, so I feed one in the morning and one in the evening.

Make it the first thing you give in the morning, no other foods til later on.
No stash she can turn to, that's really important.

Think of it like this is your little kid that needs to eat her nutritious breakfast
for optimum health and performance.
If you serve her ice cream with the oatmeal, or if she has cookies hidden under her pillow,
she will ignore the otmeal.

Wouldn't you? :D

Later she can have the stuff she craves.

It takes some tough love and discipline on your part,
but I have converted one particular squirrel that resisted all KINDS of blocks until I did it that way.
Now it's the highlight of her day!

I give veggies mid morning, and in the afternoon fruits and nuts
(just enough for one serving, not enough to stash - quantity is really important too!)

I also bake my own blocks.
It allows me to adjust the blend of nuts used to their preference.

Sounds very similar to what I do. If you allow them to stash, they will go to the stash before the blocks and then you're sunk. One of my squirrels has been eating the blocks since she was about 12 weeks old, the other one was an 8 month wild squirrel when he came to me who I converted to eating the blocks. He's the one who won't eat them plain. Have to mix with a little yogurt. I have 1 foxer who puts on weight really easily, so I cut the nuts in the recipe way back for her. My other squirrel is a gray who has a much higher energy requirement, so he gets full nuts in his blocks. That's what's nice about making them yourself, you can tailor them to your squirrel's tastes.

I'll have to try a couple health food stores tomorrow. What I found was low fat and it all contained aspartame. Yep that stash is a pain. She buries her food under her lining for the cage too. She never eats her stash though. Just comes back for more to stash. lol Thank you

Yes sometimes it's hard to find the full fat kind of yogurt without the aspartame. Try looking for 'greek' style yogurt.
