I had a brain-fart and baked my blocks at 275 degrees instead of 225 degrees,
cause I'm really tired and baking at 11 o'clock at night,
cause I kept putting it off and then forgot to do it at a reasonable time,
and I know my squirrels will be really disappointed not to have them
bright and early...
...are they still edible, or did I just bake the goodness out of them?
I really really don't want to start over... :dono
I realized my error when they came out extra crispy and deep brown. :rotfl

Higher temps will degrade some of the nutrients. Probably not critical for one batch, but definitely watch the temp in future.:)

Sigh...
I probably need to start eating some blocks to improve my brain function. :D
Luckily I only made one batch, which will last less than a week with as many
squirrels as I have eating them right now!
Usually I do multiple batches enough for two weeks but thank goodness
I didn't ruin that many.

Been there, dont that! My first batch, I misread the amount of water and put twice as much water in! I saved it though by adding more of the protein powder and a guesstimate of an additional amount of the vitamin mix. Now I am more careful as I can't afford to throw any away! We need them too badly.
djarenspace9, have you ever eaten them? I tried them when I first made them and when fresh out of the overn they are not too bad. Kinda bland. I am still toying with the idea of adding some sweet fruit and making me some treats! A nice low carb biscotti type of thing. Gotta be better than the other things I could reach for! :D
:D i just burned a batch of cookies... borderline burned but not really ... but still not pretty enough to give away .... i guess i'll be eating cookies this week.....:sanp3
oh..ps... human cookies... oatmeal, choc, almonds...lol...high carb...:D

I tasted them once, after another member told me she always tastes them (for quality control :D ).
They are on the bland side, though I tend to like things that are not too sweet or salty.
Maybe I could drizzle a bit of agave nectar or honey over them and "take care" of this batch :rotfl
