Hi my name is jen and ive been mom to 3 baby squirrels that were born under the hood of a friends car. I believe that i got them within 2 days of their birth, and they are now 3wks old. About 5 days ago 2 of the 3 babies developed serious diarrhea and lethargy, so i began giving them a small amount of pedialyte (maybe 5-10 drops) before their feedings, as their appetites were only slightly repressed. They are now back to eating, peeing and pooping normally. However, both squirrels that were affected by the "bug" have become stiff in their upper body movements and their arms have swollen in a Bicep curl position. They do not seem to be in any pain, but they have restricted movement in their upper torso and almost atrophy stricken arms. What in the world could this be? and what can be done? I live in a state that would possibly land me with a big fat fine for caring for these babies, so i'm really not sure where else to turn for help. Thank you for reading, and for any advice that you may have.

So, OK, the conversation here was about feeding both pedialyte and formula and about what formula was being given, FV, Esbilac, etc.

PLEASE LET's continue the thread in Emergency -- it's buried here and good ideas will be lost.
