I was wondering how long the homemade hydrating fluid keeps in the fridge.
It's usually way more that needed, although of course not costly to make.
Just don't like waste. Anyone know?

I believe 48 hours is the max. You can always halve or even quarter the recipe...

Ok so pretty much the same as pedialyte.
I do reduce it but it's still way more than I usually will need
so was not sure if I should store it in the fridge for the next
time or make it fresh.

Thanks crittermom!

Great, thanks!
I used to always buy Pedialyte but can only find it in large bottles,
so I'd have to throw most of it away after 48hrs.

I am trying now with the homemade recipe instead,
and I reduced it to a cup per mix so it's less waste. :thumbsup

I reduce the homemade recipe also, and only use that now. Pedialyte prices are ridiculous! I add a tiny smidge of apple butter to my homemade, and few can ever, ever resist it. :D

Good idea!
I was wondering if adding apple juice or something else would
help make it more appealing.

Squirrels seem to actually like the apple butter, which has cinnamon & spices in it, more than plain apple juice as a flavoring. :dono

I got smart the last time I bought Pedialyte. I poured into small containers and froze. Also, I ought the Winn Dixie store brand, apple flavor, and it was amazing how well it was received.
