:thumbsup I went to Lowe's this morning to buy bird food and found mealworms. They had a large container ( 6 oz.) for 6.99. This is cheaper than the pet stores. Just wanted to pass the word.:multi
Mealworms at Lowe's? Gosh, what will they start selling next.:thinking :dono :jump

Yeah I saw them there too - I think more and more places are pushing mealworms for the birds. :thumbsup

So do our florida squirrels eat meal worms? I hadn't seen them on food lists I've seen so far. We used to feed mealies to our hamsters...they loved them! Also fed them to other critters (frogs/lizards etc) that we had yrs ago (pre-house fire). I wouldn't have even thought of squirrels eating them....or is it just flyers that eat mealies?

Some squirrels will eat them while others will not..... so all we can say is try it and see.
