Over the last 8 years, I have had MANY bites. They hurt like hell, but I have never had one get infected. A little Neosporin or antibiotic might make you feel a little better.

I got bitten quite a few times when Webby and Clivey were ill.
Apparently squirrels that AREN'T sick don't appreciate being poked at!

Malli gave me a coring bite...the kind where they latch on and bite while they swing round...sort of like coring an apple!
That was actually the least painful of the bunch!:)

Clivey got me twice on two different fingers and I could actually feel it scrape bone! Nice!

I got bit today because I was rough housing with the boys...not bad just enough to make me cuss out Gordo...but he gave me a kiss...so all was forgiven!:shakehead

When ever I get a bite...rabbit, squirrel etc...I let it bleed out for a bit...when it looks like it is clotting I finally suck it up and disinfect it. I hate disinfecting...THAT hurts!
Then a bandaid with carbolic salve for a day or so...
for awhile when the kids were smaller...I had bandaids everywhere and scratches all over my arms! lol
Looked like I'd gone a couple rounds with a really p*ssed off cat!:jump

So far none of mine have gotten infected...and it seems to be the shallower bites with the bruising hurt more! I prefer to get bitten by the squirrels as opposed to our rabbits!:shakehead
Yeah..I know...:tilt

OMG...you reminded me of having to go to the doctor for an IV and having the nurse ask "do you have a cat?" I said yes but wondered why the heck she was asking. Well I knew soon enough when she said "that must be some cat" and pointed to the scratches all over my hands and arms...lol I just said "yeah he's some cat alright". Naturally the cats would NEVER consider doing the damage that my dear Sammy does regularly! Husband had his first real bite today too. Bleeding and cursing about "stupid squirrels" when I arrived on the scene. It took a while but they seem to have made up.

I've had some nibbles but got my first real bite when Annie wasn't feeling well and was headed for a "construction zone" in our house. I grabbed her from behind and she latched onto my hand big time! She would not let go either! Had them teeth buried to the gums! I had to carry her hanging onto my hand through the house and place her into her nesting box before she would let go.
Lessons learned: Do not grab a squirrel from behind. :nono
