Dill Update

I didn't know where to post an update on Dill, but he no longer belongs in the "life threatening emergency" category. Everyone was so helpful and supportive that I wanted to be sure to update you. Yesterday, we took the ecollar off for good and put him back in the "squirrel room." So far he is doing great...hasn't chewed at his knee at all, and it doesn't seem to be getting irritated from dragging behind him. It looks like we have about another week till it is completely closed. Sooooo...success!!!!!:multi Once again, thank you guys for all your advice and support...it has been essential in this process. I'm including 2 pictures of Dill...his head looks kind of small because the ecollar has worn off a ring of fur, and some of the fur has worn off the sides of his nose, but these are just small things to fix now!

Awww. Dill is a good little patient. Give his furry noggin a smooch for me, too. Do his hind legs drag? Is he an NR?

Watch him like a hawk. This point in healing there is a lot of itching and he could go after it again. I usually wait until wounds are totally closed and the pink puffiness is gone. I know they hate the e collars, but you need to be very careful not to take them off too soon...
