EWWW!!! WORMS IN ACORN!

Fiance just came in with acorns for the babies and one of them had worms in it! It sank. They're supposed to be good if they sink, right? YUCK!
Not giving any to papa bear...he's sick.

That's probably a grub and while the acorn is bad the grub is good to feed to a squirrel - most of them will go crazy over it. :crazy
and yes, sinkers are supposed to be good, keepers.

LOL! I'll have to remember that next time. This one was thrown out immediately! hahahaha! Then he decided to break the others open to make sure they were ok...

I had a beer box full of acorns in my kitchen for Mugzi a couple of years back. The grubs would crawl out on the floor and my daughter HAD A FIT!!!!.
I'm not at all squeamish so I found the whole thing pretty funny.
My youngest and I scooped them up and fed them to Mugzi and it's one of the few times you will see a squirrel's eyes roll back in it's head.
