Snickers Needs help

So today snickers decided he wanted to play in his own poop and pee at playtime. So after playtime i took him and gave him a bath in some baby shampoo.So at his nightly feeding which is about 8:30 or so i was holding and feeding him and i noticed his little penis is really red and swollen he is still pee'ing fine as far as i can tell. Just need to know if its normal after a bath or what im really worried about him. BTW i have recently been switching him over to FV from just born kitten milk he has had FV 25/75 yesterday and 50/50 all of today. Snickers will be 7 weeks on monday.

He has been suckling himself, most likely. They usually do that when they are hungry, but it could just be out of comfort seeking. I guess he is a solo? Usually it's littermates that do that to eachother, I think.

Yup, self "nursing." Feed him a little more or push the feedings a little closer together. If this continues you will want to get some bitter lemon or bitter lime (they sell the stuff called "Yuk" in pet ships I think and paint a TINY bit in a little circle arund his penis (you don't want it on his sore peenie). More food usually does the trick though. Do keep an eye on his peeing - if it gets sore enough it can scab over at the tio and prevent urine flow. Then he needs to have it soaked off...

when making the fox valley formula, you will add two parts water , to one part powder formula...

If the yuk doesn't work use A&D ointment...we've discovered it works the best.
Some males do self suckle. I have also see other littermates join in on the party.
You can also start offering soaked rat block with formula poured over it for a pre weaning diet. I would recommend Harlan Teklad 2018
