So, here I was trying to do a good thing for Gizmo, our older vistior, the one we got because he had a leg injury..... Anyway, we built a release cage and well, he went in okay but when it came time to come in....he somehow, dont ask me how.....off he went :shakehead He seemed to enjoy/ be afraid of the outside at the same time! I'm soooo worried now :shakehead
I went for a walk, dozens of squirrels but....can't tell if that's Gizmo or not and he will not come, always was a little wild. He took food from my hand but no holding, touching, cuddles of any kind!
I have put his bed outside with food, water and his "fridge" were he burried his food but don't know if he can find his way back!? Weather is very mild still, 80 in day, low 60 at night, trees are full of leaves still so....Oh pray he will find a place to sleep or better yet...find his house! I put it near were he went under the fence :dono
As for Peanut, he seems okay, looking for him I think, wont stay in the basket they shared, so sad, I feel awful! I was so careful....guess not enough! I figured him to be about 16 weeks or more, he was very healthy, strong when I got him, but for his leg he looked great! He can crack a walnut, I have feed him wild food, apples, dandelion, nuts so he has had a variedy of foods!
Will he be okay? We live in a fairly quite area, not too many cars, lots of squirrels around, tons of live oka tree's......I know I wont sleep tonight!!!! Just this morning him and Peanut had a WWF champion wrestle match on my coffee table, they played so well together despide the age difference and now....lost Gizmo, lonley Peanut....what a bad Mom I am....:shakehead
