Sorry for posting this in life threatening, I'm not sure if it's a crisis or no big deal ( first time squammy)
When I brought LF in the other day I noticed what looked like about a quarter size spot of blood on one of his pillowcases, so naturally I FREAKED out, checked every square inch of him for a booboo.. Nothing..
Then last night I was watching him eat an acorn and he gave a few little almost cries/grunts while he was shelling it which made me look in his mouth for potential ouchie.. His top teeth are shorter than his bottom teeth by quite a bit, is this normal or did he maybe break his top teeth??
He's eating Ok, maybe a little bit less than usual, but otherwise seems happy when he comes out for playtime

Have you looked at his teeth?
Are they uneven?
Overelongated?
The top teeth are shorter than the bottom teeth, however if they hit their mouths, they can break any of their front teeth. What you should check for is the coloration of the teeth - are they solid orange on the front? Do they look like part of the orange is worn off? Do the top teeth look ragged or uneven compared to each other? Does he chew differently than in the past or bite his food on the opposite side of where he normally chews? If you can, take a good look at the roof of his mouth to see if he injured it with his bottom teeth. If he seems to have difficulty chewing or eating his regular foods, and his top teeth seem too short (teeth too close to the gum line) you may have to trim the bottom teeth a couple of times until the top ones grow down.
When you say you brought him in, do you mean from being wild outside, or was he in an enclosure outside?
Broken teeth are common and normally grow back. As long as you see teeth, don't panic, just keep an eye on him to make sure he's chewing as he normally would and if you see blood, check his mouth to see if there are any injuries on the roof of his mouth or tongue.
If you can get a photo of his mouth, that would help! :)

Bottom teeth are yellow, top teeth look shorter/stubbier and lighter
He was outside in his cage ( we have outside time every day ) I've had him since he was about 2 weeks old :)
He seems to be eating just fine, I think I was just being a paranoid squammy :Love_Icon
I will try to get a picture, maybe I can hold his mouth open while hubby snaps, LF isn't fond of staying still for more than 2 seconds at a time LOL :multi
