Ok, my face is red just talking about this.......
My Peanut (male) turned one year old in August this year. Up until about a week ago he had quite large, hanging down, testicles. This weekend my husband and I noticed that they have ascended back up into his body.
Uggg Is this normal? The area is covered in white fur and they literally are almost completly gone. :dono I would figure maybe around the time of mating they would be larger and then shrink some in off season but.........They are gone:thinking
Here is a funny one
He recently got away from me which happens occasionally and he was out all night and back the next day. Katherine says he snuck out for an operation that day.:rotfl
Any input would be appreciated, wasn't sure as to where (which catagory) to even ask this one:shakehead Leave it to me to come up with doozies.

I think folks have asked this question a few times before and the general belief is that according to hormonal cycles, their ballzies go up & down like the one in Times Square :rotfl . Nothing to worry about. :tilt

hehe...every year at this time, my Rocky has same issue...
up until about 3-4 years ago, I called my vet freaked...she just chuckled, according to Rockys chart, I had called about same issue for 3 years in a row...
so for last few years, I knew better!:rotfl
so I guess it is that time of the year!:D

Oh thank goodness, thanks so much. I was really ok, but my husband was saying "get on TSB and ask someone please how can they just be gone?????????" ahaaaaaa Hubby said could it be in the squirrel world if you don't use it, you lose it????????
I am sure that would freak a guy out:thumbsup
I like Peanut's new look personally:D Those things do get in the way. I am bad.

Do they also tend to get more aggressive now too? Nutmeg has been extra nasty this past week.

All very very normal, but even after all these years of flyers it is still rather un-nerving to go into a cage that you KNOW was filled with males and females and have this sudden shock of " OMG - I've got all females!!" But their 'luggage' alwayse comes back, just as huge and white and fluffy as ever!

Yes sir reeee Peanut bit my daughter and my hubby this week. Broke the skin a little. Which he NEVER does. Makes sense. He has not bitten me yet but my two little 11 and 12 week olds got me showing off there stuff this week. :shakehead

This is what is so funny. My husband was going crazy. He said what happened to my boy? Oh my gosh what is going on?
So glad we are normal....well as normal as a squirrel family can be:D

Well, if it's like Times Square...they'll light up and sparkle...now on a squirrel--that would be something to see...

I feel quite stupid. :osnap How in the heck did I miss such a very important issue such as this?????? :thinking All of the males squirrels have lost their man packages around the world and I am thinking my squirrel is the only one.
I will not forget that this is a normal course of action from now on. Thanks my squirrel board friends:wave123
I wish you could see me a laughin right now.:wave123

Only you New Yorkers could equate squirrel ballzies to the ball in Times square going up and down. I love it:multi That is how I am gonna explain it to hubby when I get home. :wott
