I spent the last hour trying my darndest to stimulate Rocky to poop... I can get him to pee, but it has been two days since he pooped... Is it because of the trauma he has been through? Surely it's not cause he doesn't have food in his belly?! He took a good 20 cc's or more during the day yesterday if not more....

I took him back to the vet yesterdy and the vet assistant told me not to worry he would eventually poop... My vet was flabbergasted at the miraculous improvement of the little guy.. He said "I wouldn't have give you a plug nickle for him Friday night, I just knew he was a goner."

After the office visit yesterday, 2 injections, (two sent home for today) and some seizure medication he only charged me $8.38!!!

LOL I asked him if he was goofy or what... He just smiled and said to keep him updated on Rocky's progress... He probably felt bad about charging me so much Friday... Regardless a visit such as that usually cost me close to $100.00 so I am grateful...

Can I give this little guy anything to help him go poopy or do I just sit and wait? His little tummy isn't hard and distended nor does he fuss when I rub his tummy...

I have some prune baby food, can I give it to him? PLEASE advise...

Thanks Wende and Rocky~~~~

Your vet rocks. You know you have a good one when they give more of a crap for the animal than the bill.

POOP DAMMIT!!! DON'T MAKE BE GET THE GARDEN HOSE.

i have to get ready to go to clinicals and of course Rocky will go with me... I park in the parking garage and it is shaded and was cool yesterday...

Please someone tell me what to do... Guess I will try calling the vet back this morning as well and ask for advice... Thanks for any advice in advance... Will check boards before I leave at 4:45am...

If his tummy isn't hard or distended, there is no emergency, okay? I am not sure how long you have had him or what his condition was, but if he was starved for food, his body isn't ready to create waste yet - it is using every morsel! If you are very concerned, you can ad A TINY, TINY AMOUNT of the prune baby food to his formula. But don't give in to panic and give more - constipation is a lot better than diarrhea, believe me!

Not sure how old this baby is...if he is furred, you can also do lower body warm water soaks while very gently stroking and massaging his tummy but you must make sure he is kept toasty warm until dry.

Don't panic unless he bloats. He WILL poop and then we can have the poop celebration with the happy poop smilies, which are here because this is VERY COMMON!!

Yes, I am with crittermom! He simply has no poop for you yet. Dont panic. If he is acting fine and eating fine, then he should be fine.

:thankyou Just wanted to pop in and say thanks... Rocky pooped a little, and I think ya'll are right about him just not having any poopy to give me...

I did the warm soak last night and gave just a tiny bit of prunes, and then this morning he pooped...

However, as I was moving stuff around on my bed I found a pretty good size hard poopy under some papers... I think it might have been in his blankets and I just didn"t see it... Mrs Skull was right on target with everything she has been telling me... By the size of that poopy though it must have hurt him when he passed it.. It was like three times the size of the pellets my Tasha passes and she is full grown... He would have had to pass that when I wasn"t around cause I'm sure he cried with it...

I am trying to get ya'll some pics posted but the ones I finally got on my computer are to big and I have to figure out how to resize... Will keep ya"ll posted and again thanks so much...:thankyou
