Littlefoot is now eating plenty of solids, thankfully we have a metric butt-ton of acorns! I read on here that he should only have about 2 a day, he's slowly weaning himself from FV, sometimes he eats really well, other times Im lucky if he takes 9cc :(
So on that note, how MUCH other solids should he have? Should I be giving him a bowl of offerings to eat then empty what he doesnt eat at night? Or only offering him specific amounts of things like spinach/lettuce/cabbage etc?
I also read about carrots, so I won't be giving him much of those... So I need some portion sizes here! :)

Try offering a couple of 1/2 sized chunks of 4 different things, a couple of fresh or frozen green beans, some peas. I feed broccoli, brussels sprouts, cantaloupe, bell pepper, avocado, fresh cilantro and parsley, carrots, wild foods like dandelion greens, maple seedlings and helicopters, acorns, green branches, clover flowers, I haven't been heavy on the fruits and only offer nuts in the Booballs. Mine also get free fed Oxbow Regal rat and Kay Tee Forti Diet PLUS and an HHB every couple of days. They either pee on it or sleep with it on alternating days. Think they don't like something? wait a couple days :D Don't let the squirrel tell you what he likes. You tell him.

I always remove Knotheads veggies after he goes to bed and he gets a fresh bowl every morning. He NEVER eats all of them. Squirrels are very picky so I'm always on the hunt for new and exciting veggies. It's also a good idea to order some healthy Blocks if you don't already have some. I also give Knotty a Tums with calcium to chew on for the Calcium. Here's a trick I learned from this board: Cut the veggies into different shapes because they get bored very easy with the same old vegetables
