I have a squirrel who looks full-grown that I found on Sept. 3rd with a bloody eye and nose and a small cut on her head.
118703
She has gone from lethargic and not able to lift her head when I first found her to eating independently and she looks and acts like a normal adult squirrel. I was planning on releasing her back by the end of the month (this weekend) since she was doing so well!
....just now and earlier today (Husband witnessed while I was at work) she had what I would say looks similar to a seizure! She started twitching just tail and limbs then spastically moving one front arm as if trying to scratch her head. She threw herself all over the cage bottom screaming, she seemed in so much pain and when I touched her she tensed and screamed louder.
It ended and she just layed there stiff as if in shock, her little heart going so fast!!! A couple minutes later she moved around rigidly, flicking her tail and making a vibration-motor-type sound from her body. She hasn't been in her nesting box or eaten at all today, just seems to wait and recover from seizures.
What could be wrong!?!:dono
