I really want to try and make these.. but the whey protein I have is chocolate flavored Whey protein from EAS and im sure that's not good for squirrels. What brand do you buy? is any whey vanilla protein ok? most of the ones i see have other stuff in them like added sugar, or sugar substitutes like sucralose. Also can a regular adult multivitamin be crushed up and put in this recipe? Or could it be made without a vitamin supplement?
Thanks:tilt
Dry ingredients:
6 tablespoons (72 g) Pure Whey Protein Isolate for adult formula (for growth formula, use 14 tablespoons [168 g]).
200 g finely ground nuts (any kind; peanuts, pecans, or almonds work well)
2 tsp aluminum-free baking powder
1 tsp non-iodized salt (Optional)
1 package (32 g) Henry's Healthy Vita-Mins*
Wet ingredients:
1 whole egg
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract (optional)
1/2 cup water, or a little more, as needed (this is for growth formula only; do not add water to the adult formula unless the dough is too dry when mixed)
