OK i have had someone tell me 350mg a day, that's a lot calcium. I give her a lot of food and grind up a calicum pill with vit. D in it and put it all over her food. its a 600mg calcium pill with vit.D in it. I dnt want to over do it and to much is not good also.

Please do not use Calcium with vit D...the human ratio is overloaded with D...
Use calcium citrate or carbonate WITHOUT anything else.
I think rat RVA is 330mg of Calcium a day.
I feed mushrooms for D, and dairy products, this is why I push 'forever formula', it is too easy and the best insurance for a healthy sq.
I do not wean, and really promote FV always. If I have an independant that wants to wean, I try adding dry FV to yogurt or on avacodo, things that sqs cannot rtesist!
The best D is natural and from the sun.:sunshine
Don't quote me on this...but I think:thinking D is found in dairy, fish, UV and mushrooms...:dono

I have 4 flyers, I feed a well rounded diet of greens, broccoli, vegetables, mushrooms, fruits, nuts 2-3x's a week, and Dannon all-natural vanilla flavored yogurt daily. How much yogurt should I be giving them for ample amount of calcium? They are not over weight. I'm giving them approx. 2 tablespoonfuls daily. Thanks for any advice!
