Of course this is soooo my frickin luck, I bug the hubs for weeks to build me a better box than what I had built...he builds it...they wont go in it! I put it in yesterday, put in some paper towels and fresh maple branches with tons of leaves and they made a nest with it but not in the box like I was hoping. Nope, right next to the box! Little fuzzbutts! Last night I felt bad that they only had that to sleep with so I gave in and gave them their fleece and of course they made a nest with that and to bed they all went. I'm thinking I may have to be mean and take out all the fleece again and put paper towels and leaves in the box this time and hope they will go in it? any suggestions? btw, they liked chewing on the sides of the roof:nono

Just a heads up.....they LOVE paper towels ALMOST as much as they love fleece.....:D
Maybe they are telling you they wish to "skip" that step....of moving to a new cage and box?

It will take time, sometimes, to get them to go into a new box. I have had them take up to a week to venture in -- then they love it and you can't get them out. :D Then there were the two brothers I had, in a cage with three other babies, who insisted on sleeping UNDER the box.....:thinking

Try cutting the fleece in small strips. My girl uses that and paper towels (and my socks) to nest with. Maybe just a little to get them started.

Will give them time and fleece pieces and see what happens...little stinkers!
