I have them. Tons of them. The woods behind my house is almost entirely beech, and I discovered them in the yard last night when I walked barefoot (they have spiney little cases).
Can I assume these are okay for P?

Oh.... is there a final word on these? I found some this fall too and Grayson loves them. He's had some and has had no ill effects that I can tell.

I found out something interesting about beech nuts. Just because you have HUNDREDS of beech treet, and just because you can see thousands of beechnuts on said trees, does not mean you will have bunches of beechnuts to feed your baby boy. This equation is missing an important item - the apparnty invisible, gigantic beech nut vaccuum that eats the nuts out of 99.999% of the husks before they hit the ground. The wilds apparently LOVE them!
P got a few, but precious few. They must be awesome!

Oh good! Yes, I only found a couple of handfuls [at my brothers] and far more EMPTY shells~
Tater [Grayson's nickname that is becoming the name I use more often actually <--what's up with that, LOL?!] did LOVE them!! Grabbed them. Snarfed them down. Probably mad they're so tiny too!!
:thankyou
