Rice Buddy

Jambee has a heating pad but I wanted to make him a something to cuddle up to.

I had very little plan white rice left but found I had some Zatarain's rice left. I filled up the sock and as I was getting ready to sew it up I noticed the spice smell coming from the Zatarains rice.

Can the smell hurt/bother him?

It's the Jambalaya mix rice.. (I did remove most of the dried veggies from the rice before putting it in the sock) But I smell what I think is the soy sauce.

Should I just go get white rice to be safe or am I truly over reacting?

I would wait and get white rice. You can use dried beans to do this, too, BTW.

What you will learn as Jambee grows is that they have the most amazing sense of smell - little bloodhounds! I was very surprised at how acute it is. I would think that snuggling up to dirty rice might not be very comfortable!
