Hello guys! Figured I should "formally" introduce myself & Bunny here. :) My name is Jennifer, am a stay at home mom, I have a 12 yr old son, a few cats & a dog. I love animals very much and will help out any animal in need of help. I have rescued plenty of kitties & dogs, and even a baby Robin. This is my first time raising a squirrel. On April 3rd my mother called me and asked me if I wanted a squirrel. I asked her, "a real squirrel"? She says, yes, I say sure! Bunny came to me in a little Keds shoe box filled with tissue, she was the cutest little baby I had ever seen. ( approx. 6 weeks old) I immediately got out our dog carrier , t-shirts and a heating pad and put her inside. I then ran to the computer to see what I needed to do next. I fed her puppy formula ( wish I had found this site & knew about the Fox Valley) and she did very well. She would snuggle with me after every feeding. My plan was to help her out & then send her off to a rehabber, but I grew very attached to the sweetie & couldn't bring myself to do that. After being here for a month she fell and broke her leg. I felt horrible! Not quite sure how she did it, but called my vet and he told me to bring her in. He splinted her leg for me, at NO cost. Brought her home, a few days later she had chewed and removed her splint, so back to the vet we went. This happened 2 more times! All vet visits were free of charge, so I donated money to their wildlife rehab program. I have the best vet ever! Bunny's leg healed up pretty good & she is quite the active & mischievous girl! My bedroom has turned into Bunny's bedroom. My fiancee mounted large logs, branches and such all along the perimeter of our room, built a very large cage for her as well. So, my bedroom basically looks like a giant tree house! I will take some pics & share them here. Bunny seems to be very happy here, she loves to wrestle with me and take flying leaps off of everything onto my head and shoulders. I am usually covered in little squirrel scratches, but I do not mind one bit. I love this squirrel as much as I love my son! :Love_Icon Here are a few pics of my girl:

* BTW, the cats are kept AWAY from Bunny at all times! I know how bad cats can be & would never ever risk Bunny's safety!
