I just moved to Winslow AZ. No one drinks the water here. You can bathe and so forth in it but everyone cooks and drinks water that you get from water fill station because the water here has extremely high concentration of calcium in it. I know squirrels need calcium, should I be feeding him this water or not?

I always give Mia the water i drink, not tap water.
But you can give it a try, put her 2 water cups one from each and see which one she would prefer :)

I'd be worried about what else was in the water besides calcium....likely other minerals as well. I think I'd stick with bottled water for your squirrel.

It is the hardest water in the country. If you don't get a softener, the calcium deposits will completely block the faucets and prevent the water from flowing in a couple of months. My mother scrubs her toilets every 15 minutes to keep the "scale" from developing!
