Found an injured squirrel, difficulty moving hind legs but does not appear in a lot of pain. Have to drive back to where I found squirrel on a walk, but are there any rehabbers near Highland Park, NJ? Will attempt to get squirrel in cat carrier if still there.
Thanks! Always available at peterbarklasorrell@gmail.com.

I am not familar with NJ, but click on this link
wildliferehabber.com On the left side there is a listing for wildlife rehabbers, put in NJ and a list will come up.
Good Luck

I tried to grab the little guy, using a fleece, but he could still move far faster than a lumbering guy, and he eventually skittered well out of reach into some trees that I could not get to. I am hoping he just had heat exhaustion and will find some water because he was definitely pretty immobile until I was right on top of him :(

Well, Thank you for trying to help this little one. :thankyou
Is there anyway you can possibly leave a small dish of water & food near the area you last saw him??

Thanks--went back and did that just now; couldn't see him in the dark, but I left a full bowl of water and some cat food (all I had). Poor guy--he was very cute. Just too fast, even injured.

he will not eat cat food, and it will attract raccoons, which might also find him if he's not very mobile. Can you please take that up? Water should be sufficient for now.
