Hello, I have seen some other threads on this subject but nothing looked real recent and there was someone who sold them on EBAY but I think that person has discontinued sales. Is there anyone who can recommend a reputable/reliable place to buy some? I have read that squirrels like them a lot, any experiences to share? Thanks

This person advertised them on here a bit ago: http://thesquirrelboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23418
Tell me how they are, okay? Squirrely Steve sent some to Mister P and he loves them more than anything else he can have!

I did receive the hickory nuts, when Pat (grey dark morph) stopped by over weekend, I layed out about 5 different kinds of nuts (including a good sized hickory nut), he selected the hickory nut without any hesitation. I did not see him eat it because he carried it away into the bushes. Yesterday I also gave one to a front door squirrel, interesting one young squirrel turned his nose up at it but the next squirrel adult that came along snatched it up.
I usually don't give out unshelled nuts because I don't want neighbors to complain about the shells being left behind but usually Pat will eat a nut right on my back porch where I can clean it up.

Ah, so you did get them - do they look to be good nuts? I will definitely order more for P, he just LOVES the ones he got from Steve and Chuck (actually not so sure Chuck knew about it...)!

They looked very fresh to me and Pat (an experienced beggar) looked like he spotted a gold mine when he seen it. He didn't waste any time taking it and ran out the door like he just pulled off a major heist :shakehead
