my female grey is a serious wiggle worm, and her claws are needles! I keep trying to burrito wrap her and clip them, and I came up with a way that makes it a bit easier.

I put two pillows under the covers of my bed, with a little space between them, like a little canyon. Cover them with the blanket to stabilize them. Lay the towel in the "canyon', and make sure your clippers are handy. Grab your squirrel, and lay them in the "Canyon" and quickly wrap them up. This works really well for the front feet, because you can pull one foot out and carefully clip the tips. I put my hand between her head and foot to keep her face away from the clippers, just in case.

note: I haven't tried this for her back feet. She's kinda mad at me now, so I might wait a while before doing her back feet. Better break out the treats and apologies! lol

Post with thoughts or your results if you tried this. :)

And I hope it helps if you have a wiggle worm too!

Yeah, but I think some are more than others. Some seem to tolerate the clippings. I'm just surprised she didn't give me a good bite or five afterwards. She's so cute. Whenever she's scared or doesn't like something, she'll hide behind me and peek up at me over my shoulder (SO adorable) but seeing as this time I was the source of her discomfort, she didn't know what to do. lol We've made up, though. Nuts will make her forget anything. hehe. She's a nut. She thrashes around and jumps so far that she sometimes smacks her head on the wall! :rotfl You hear a "thump" and think "Oh no, poor baby!" but she seems completely unaffected. Just keeps rolling around with her paper towel.

haha! She's now afraid of the ugly 70's style towel I used to burrito her in. lol She makes little squeaky noises of protest whenever she gets close to it.

I think I may try to do her back nails now that she's calmed down a bit... wish me luck!
