What is her obsession with my HEAD?!

Maggie has recently decided that the best place in the world to hang out is on top of my head... She climbs up and then spins and spins and spins, and then (if I am patient enough to allow it) she eventually gets bored and lays down so that her tail is directly in my eyes. She is pretty insistent on being up there and sulks if I won't let her... Is this some sort of evil squirrel trick to get me off the computer and paying attention to her?

I know with birds being up high is a control/dominance thing, and so have always been taught to discourage parrots for riding on shoulders and sitting on heads. Is this the same with squirrels or is mine just nuts? :crazy :D

Mine does them same. I just let her as it makes her happy. I really think its just cause its the highest she can get. She love to look down at everything.

The last day I was with her she played in my hair for a hour.

Every reason you've gotten above is absolutely true. If it's any consolation, I have a Maggie too and when she was smaller, her obsession was my hair and the top of my head. :D

This is my fear.. lol I am not a fan of the idea of having squirrel pee in my hair. Or otherwise really, I can just imagine my boyfriends reaction when he goes to run his fingers through my long silky locks and then..... :osnap

Wait until your hair is in a braid:wahoo It is my punkins ladder she swings from it and spends so much time trying to unwrap it, I had to wall in front of a mirror to see what she was doing, it was so cute, she has always groomed my hair since she was a lil bity girl, but the braid took her fun to a new level.. Thank goodness she understands the word nice:)

Milo LOVED playing with my hair. One of the very first times he stood up on his hind legs was when I was leaning over into his cage to clean it and a few pieces (a curl) at my forehead came loose from the clip and fell. I was so stunned that he was on his back legs standing up I froze. He reached up and batted the curl around and it was almost as if he was smiling. After that, if he was climbing on me it was generally in the direction of my head...going for the hair. He did not nest in it, he just sort of petted it and rubbed his nose in it. I wish I could have taken a picture that first time. It was so precious...a moment I will cherish forever.:Love_Icon

Elissa loves my hubbys head too. He is almost bald and loves grooming him. As for me she loves to sift thru my hair and hide stuff.....Especially when i have it up in a bun. Too funny! Oh and for some reason she always pee's on my hubby. Dont know why and never does it to me. But he's like what the heck....LOL
