I just saw Ahrlan go pee in front of his litter box... not in :nono
After he dragged his lower body and left a line of pee spots before he ran off to go play.
Ive never seen him do this before.
Any thoughts as to why he did this?

Cats do stuff like that if they have a urinary tract infection.

Ahrlan's not in heat is he?

Not sure, just taking a guess....Could he be "marking" his territory?

I'm not sure if he is in heat.
Do male animals do that?
I know when its mating season his male parts get a lot larger and can easily be seen. And then they go away when the season is over. :dono

I did just clean his entire playroom including the window seal (where he peed) maybe he did it to make it smell like him? Marking territory?

This is the link I found....still trying to figure out how to repost the link...sorry not too computer savvy.

"
Chipmunks have been kept as pets for years and years (probably about 30). The actor Marlon Brando used to have ... When Star was around, he and Max would scent mark their hoards by urinating on them, and then the hoards would be totally separate, as a chipmunk will ignore food which has been marked by a different 'munk. I think I would still keep an eye on him for urinary tract infection. Hey Ahrlan, little cutie, what's going on with you, baby?

How will I know if he has a urinary tract infection?

A vet can check a sample of his urine and do a Urinalysis

I'm no expert, so anyone please correct me if i am wrong...LOL

In my experience with having a cat and a squirrel UTI, they tend to try to urinate frequently and ANYWHERE they can. Also the urine may show signs of blood in it by being red or having a pink tinge. I was able to clear up the UTI with the squirrel by diluting apple juice with water for her and got her to eat some yogart, which I read somewhere on this board...LOL
