flyer + toilet = uh oh

I found my older sister's flying squirrel in the toilet. :shakehead
I got a towel and scooped her out and dried her off as best I could.
But then she realized who was holding her and started attacking me.
I dropped her in my older sister's room and closed the door and stuffed a towel under it so she can't get out again
My older sister is at work and the flying squirrel absolutely hates me
what should i do?:help

Do you have a pair of gloves that you can wear to catch it and put it back in cage or put a nut in the cage and hope it goes in to eat and close it in. Hopefully others with experience can help you :sorry

She should be sleeping so you shouldn't get attacked :poke I had suggies and I had one get into my subwoofer. Instead of returning to her pouch in the morning after playtime she snuck up the little hole on the bottom of the speaker...the speaker had feet. I looked for a long time for her and thought she has to be in there, sure enough I took it apart and she was in the corner sleeping...must have had a tiff with the sister and was going to punish her sister by sleeping on her own. Her little sister would peek her head out of the pouch every few minutes trying to see if she could find her sister :rotfl :rotfl Sister was happy when I found the other one and returned her to her pouch :D

Electrical wires just scare me...I always say it's better to be safe than sorry! Most likely in the daytime the flyer is going to be sleeping and not get into mischief but then again you did find her in the toilet...poor sweetie...I'm sure she was scared. Do you have one of those toilet screens that sit on the rim and goes down into the toilet so if animal goes in it can have a way to get up out of the water and not drown?

OK enough fun, Just remember to keep the toilet seat closed. I know on the flyer threads. They have a little Ladder to put inside the Toilet Bowl. That way, she will be able to clime out if it happens again. :D Have your sister keep an eye out for clicking, I hope she did not get water in her lungs. I am sure she has found a place in your sisters room to curly up and sleep. Just keep an eye on the Towel. Make sure she does not pull out a corner and sneak out. :eek: :poke Attack of the Flying Toilet Bowel Shark. :rofl4

Her head wasn't under the water but her body was and I'm not sure for how long so I'm sure she was cold. She was shivering when I found her. I will have to yell at my older sister about being more careful
Too bad the flying squirrel isn't like Ahrlan he likes being handled by everyone.

Do flying squirrels need the light on? or the curtains pulled back? I know they are nocturnal not sure if they need sunlight :thinking

No they don't need the sun light. You might leave a light on. If you need to go in the room for some reason, If off when you flip the lights on, it might spook her.

The alternative could be a drowned baby. This fits under the toilet seat and is easily cleaned when you clean the toilet bowl.

I used to get on to my family about that all the time.
But lately Ahrlan has been such a good baby (no escaping) that I guess we slacked off.
