Bump on Amber's foot

Hey Guys,

Amber has this odd whitish clear bump on the pad of her back foot. Shykj thinks she has noticed it before but it seems to be kind of coming off now? Anyway here are some pictures please do let us know what this might be.

Is the bump hard or soft? Does it move? Does it seem to be painful?

Its kind of hard like a scab that is about come off, and Amber doesn't like it when you touch it.

If it appears to be about to drop off and it's not oozing, it may simply be a little cyst or an abscess from a scratch or an insect bite. As long as there's no swelling, whatever infection might have occurred may have been warded off by her immune system, being encapsulated to the point that it's drying up on its own. If it doesn't fall off, gets larger or reoccurs/spreads, than it may need to be examined by a vet or a wildlife expert.

I'm just guessing from what I've observed about abscesses in general. The clinic I worked at (as a receptionist, full disclosure!) mostly treated cats and dogs; we saw a few squirrels but mostly for the vets to advise on how to feed babies that were found, that sort of thing.

I guess we will just watch it then, but we checked her other paws over real close and she has the exact same thing but smaller in the exact spot on one of her front paws too.

Good luck, I bet it doesn't slow little Amber down :). Might just be a little blister from all that hi-energy fast running she does.
